Instructor Daryl is a trading identity of Verulo Group Ltd. Verulo Group Ltd is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach me at enquiries@instructordaryl.co.uk or on 07301 276873.

When you use the enquiry form I collect your name, the phone number or email address you give me, which service you are asking about, and what you write in the message. I use it to reply to you, to work out whether I can help, and — if you do not go on to book — to follow up a reasonable number of times afterwards in case your circumstances change.
The lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to someone who has asked me a question, and reasonable follow-up where you have not told me you are no longer interested. Every follow-up message includes a clear way to opt out, and I will stop as soon as you ask. The form sends the message to my email inbox through a third-party email provider; it is not stored in a database on this website.
The form also records the IP address the enquiry came from, solely to limit automated spam.
If you become a client I keep what is needed to teach you properly and to run a business lawfully: contact details, lesson and session records, progress notes, payment records, and where relevant your licence details.
The lawful basis is performance of a contract, and legal obligation for records HMRC requires me to keep.
Where I observe another instructor's lesson as part of professional development, I produce a written report about that instructor's teaching. Sessions may also be recorded so they can be reviewed afterwards.
I do not sell your information and I do not share it for marketing. It is handled by the suppliers that make the service work — a website host, an email provider, and accounting software — each of which processes it only on my instructions.
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch them. No cookies are set by this site, and there is currently no analytics or tracking of any kind.
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after our last session, which is the period HMRC requires for business records, and then deleted.
You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what I do with it, or provide it in a portable format. You can also object to my processing it. Ask by email and I will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would rather you told me first so I can put it right.
If this notice changes materially I will update the date below. Anyone with an active booking will be told directly.
